Topaz has been dancing since she could walk, training to a professional level in classical ballet and contemporary dance at Dance Central Toowoomba, the New Zealand School of Dance, and Mad Dance House Brisbane. She attained a Distinction in Advanced 2 Classical Ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2008 and has since explored a wide variety of dance styles.
After discovering the world of Burlesque at Mad Dance House in 2011, Topaz performed at corporate and private events in London before returning to Toowoomba in 2019 to begin teaching dance classes at Pole Angels. She soon shifted her full focus to pole, developing her skills over the last 6.5 years. During this time, she also became a qualified mat Pilates instructor with Studio Pilates and completed the beginner to advanced master pole training with École de Pole.
Topaz placed second at Pole Expressions in 2021 and at Aerial Wonderland (Open Division) in 2023. She also performed for a season at the Adelaide Fringe Festival as a pole dancer with Rising Phoenix Productions in 2024.
In June 2024, Topaz had the absolute privilege of taking on the role of studio owner at Pole Angels. It has been a dream come true to share the transformative art of pole dancing and to witness students grow in confidence, joy, and strength—not just individually, but as a community that uplifts and supports one another in the most beautiful way.

Gryffin has been teaching at Pole Angels since the studio first opened its doors in 2019. Like many students, she was drawn to pole for the variety and challenge it offered—something she hadn’t found elsewhere. Over the years, she’s discovered her favourite way to move is with dynamic drops, kips, and flips, all infused with as much sass and fun as possible!

With over a decade of experience in pole dancing and teaching, Sarah discovered her passion by chance—booking what she thought was a burlesque class and showing up at the wrong time! She ended up joining a pole class and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Sarah loves all things static, especially shouldermount flags and pantera climbs. Sarah was the runner-up in the 2021 Australian Amateur Digital Category and a finalist in the 2022 Amateur Sexy Back Competition. She loves teaching to inspire people of all shapes, sizes, and ages to step out of their comfort zones and embrace their self-love through movement.

Belle started pole dancing in 2019, soon after Pole Angels first opened.
She immediately fell in love with the weekly physical and mental challenge, and an 8-month break from injury revealed the significant impact it had on her life.
She loves the excitement of being on stage in the studio showcases, and especially loves watching the beauty and individual styles of the other Angels in the studio.
Belle tries to convince most people to go try a pole class. It’s a fun challenge, has the most beautiful atmosphere of uplifting people, and even if it’s not for them, she’s never had anyone leave without saying, “Wow, I get why you do this.”
There is something so special, she believes, about falling in love with what your body can do rather than how it looks. And pretty soon, the way you see it shifts too—mostly just marvelling at your own muscles.

With 20 years of dance experience, Nova has dedicated much of her life to movement and exploring different avenues of fitness. After taking a break to focus on her family, she felt a deep need to reconnect with her feminine energy, and pole dancing became a cathartic and empowering journey. Nova says, “It’s truly an honour to introduce new students to the art of pole, guiding them through foundational skills and supporting their journey to build strength, confidence, and grace. I believe everyone has the potential to discover their own power through movement, and I’m excited to be part of that transformation.”

Britt has 15 years combine gymnastics and cheerleading training, with a lifetime of leotards and rhinestones under her belt. Now pole has become her ultimate safe space. She feels most herself in the Pole Angels studio, free to express through dance in the best way. Britt started her journey at Pole Angels in 2021 and instantly fell in love with everything pole, from being mesmerised by the flow of sensual movement, to the strength and determination each Angel has in learning a new skill in class. Her favourite part of pole is that it’s for everybody! The welcoming and supportive community she’s found here is like no other. It’s truly helped her find confidence in and out of the pole studio and she loves sharing that feeling with others.

Jenny’s movement journey began in the world of musical theatre, growing up onstage in local productions before earning her degree in Musical Theatre at Jason Coleman's Ministry of Dance in Melbourne. She went on to work professionally as a dancer in her early 20s, before stepping away from the stage to prioritise her mental health. In that transition, she found a new passion — strength training — and quickly discovered how powerful it was not just for her body, but for her mind and confidence too.
Now, with over ten years of training under her belt, Jenny runs her own business, UpLift Training, where she helps women build strength, mobility and self-belief through movement. She's all about empowering her clients to feel strong, capable, and connected to their body and mind in the gym, on the dance floor, on the pole and in their day-to-day life.
Jenny brings her love of movement and mindful strength to her Pole Fit classes at Pole Angels. Her goal is to help students unlock the strength and stability they need to thrive in their pole journey all while enjoying the process, feeling fierce, and celebrating what their bodies can do.
